Backyard barbecue style dinner and party for our beloved families and out of town friends! The location is a large, log cabin in east Boulder. There's a big yard, great views of the mountains, a hot tub (!). The address is 10138 Arapahoe Road, Boulder, CO 80026. Dress is very casual.


WEDDING CEREMONY & RECEPTION
SATURDAY, SEPT. 20

Pastures of Plenty Farm (Ogallala Road) Boulder County - see map

Both our ceremony and reception will be located at Pastures of Plenty Farm located in North Boulder County between Boulder and Longmont. (The Farm link above is one web page within the Big Bang Catering site. Big Bang is catering the wedding and operates out of this farm.) The Farm is within ~ 10 miles from the center of Boulder and ~ 15 minutes or so from our home in Longmont. Guests are invited to arrive at around 3:30 and the ceremony will begin promptly at 4. Dress: we will be in a grassy field so rethink your spiky heels...otherwise, please come as you are and feel free to dress up, dress down, whatever! It'll probably be warm to hot during the day and cool as the sun goes down; we'll have a heater under the tent but a sweater/wrap is a good idea. (Check out the farm! Driving directions from Boulder to Wedding Site:
Take HWY 36/N. Foothills Parkway out of Boulder (towards Lyons). Make a right on Plateau Road (wide, dirt road). Take left on N. 39th St. (another dirt road.) N. 39th St. turns 90ยบ to the left and becomes Ogallala Rd. Farm will be marked; park in the lot (not along the road.)

Driving directions from Longmont to Wedding Site
Drive west on Nelson Road. Turn left (south) onto N. 39th St. (a wide dirt road.) You'll see an "Altona Grange" sign/building on the corner of 39th and Nelson at your turn. After 1.5 miles N. 39th St turns to the left and becomes Ogallala Rd. Farm will be marked; park in the lot (not along the road.)

 

SATURDAY NIGHT "AFTER PARTY" IN BOULDER
Corner Bar, in the Hotel Boulderado

We must leave the farm by 10PM.

We're planning to meet up at the Corner Bar in Boulder after we leave the farm. Please note that we are NOT providing transportation from the farm to Boulder or back to the farm or anywhere else! Sorry. Getting a cab in Boulder is pretty easy and/or carpooling with guest who know the area shouldn't be an issue. We'll make it work!

We will be driving from the farm to the Corner Bar, at the Hotel Boulderado (2115 13th St, Boulder, CO 80302) It's less than 10 miles from the farm and is an easy, 15-20 minute drive. Driving directions:

Leave the farm headed west on Ogallala road towards N39, road turns into N39th
Turn L on Plateau Road
Turn L on N. Foothills Hwy/US-36E, drive 4.7 miles
Turn R at Broadway St., CO-7
Turn L at Pine Street
Turn R at 13th Street
The corner bar is in the Hotel Boulderado

Ben and I will be staying in a hotel in downtown Boulder Saturday night, likely the Boulderado. Woo hoo!

SUNDAY
Wedding weekend Sunday will unfold how we like Sundays best: no plans whatsoever. Get out and enjoy the mountains! Hiking and walking around Boulder is wonderful this time of year. There's a lot of shopping in and around Boulder's Pearl Street mall as well as good brunch spots. For food, we like Kitchen, The Med and Brasserie Ten Ten. Maybe we'll see you there for brunch? (If there's interest we can try to reserve a few tables at one of these locales for anyone who'd like to join us. We'll be the married hung over couple, smiling...)
